Whistler, British Columbia

I've dreamt of traveling to Whistler for many reasons, but the top two front runners are the epic mountains (Blackcomb and Whistler) and the apres life. This February, we made this dream a reality. It was nothing short of spectacular - but let me break down the dos and don'ts for you.

  • Monitor the snow

  • Book in accommodations in advance

  • Book shuttle or car service in advance

  • Make reservations for apres and dinner

  • Stop at the local grocery store for protein bars

  • Be prepared for a wet base mountain (could run into some rain at the bottom of the mountain due to elevation, but mid mountain is all powder!)

  • Be prepared for busy lines - if you want first tracks, get to the gondolas by 8:00 AM

  • Bring accommodating shoes

  • Walk the whole village - there are MANY great shops

  • Have a great time!
